Markus Götting, born in 1971, lives with his wife and two children in Munich. After working for the national daily Süddeutsche Zeitung and its colour supplement SZ-Magazin, he moved to Stern in 2001. His title story about his fate as a snorer won him the European Journalists’ Prize, awarded by the Association of German Medical Journalists.
